Vietnamization
Vietnamization was the term of the Richard Nixon administration during the Vietnam and to train the South Vietnam and to keep expanding their combat role, while at the same time keep decreasing the amount of U.S troops in Vietnam. Due to Viet Congs tet offensive specifically in the U.S ground forces, but did not reject combat to the U.S Air Force. The name "Vietnamization" came out accidentely in a on January 28, 1969 meeting of the national security council. And ended with a total of 400,000 U.S troops being drawn from Vietnam in 1972, this was virtually all of America's combat troops.
